In addition to our regular Sunday worship services, United Faith is offering two special services during this Advent season:
The Longest Night
When the days are at their shortest, and darkness grows deeper, many experience depression in contrast to the expectations of joy. The loss of a loved one – due to death or divorce, unemployment, ill health or a sense of isolation can all contribute to a deep pain which is intensified when everyone around us seems to be celebrating.
This year especially, we need time to share that grief and anger with God, and hear again the promise of hope!
We invite you to a special time of worship…
A time to lament, to acknowledge our sadness and concern.
A time to know that we are not alone,
and to affirm that God’s light and presence are with those who struggle.
A time for hope, to experience the light of Christ that continues to shine, even in the darkest times.
This year’s service will be held online on Sunday, December 20, 2020 at 7 PM EST, out of concerns for everyone’s health and safety. You may either join us by Facebook livestream (https://www.facebook.com/events/769201970301000) or on Zoom (email us at firstname.lastname@example.org for details).
You are invited to join us on Christmas Eve, Thursday, December 24, 2020 at 5 PM EST for worship. We’ll share communion, enjoy wonderful music, and celebrate the Joy of Christ’s birth. All are welcome.
